Founded in Elgin, Scotland in 1797 by Alexander Johnston.
This brand is the epitome of luxury Scottish craftsmanship, with over 200 years' experience. Not only do they utilise only the finest yarns, they are also achieving amazing things with their sustainability practices towards the environment, society and the economy. For which they won the 2021 Sustainable Development 'Queen's Award for Enterprise'.
They have the only vertical mill in Scotland, still carrying out all the processes from raw cashmere and fine woollen fibres right through to the finished product.
Johnstons of Elgin are the largest textile manufacturer to sign up to the Living Wage Foundation, paying the real Living Wage across all their operations.
