Multicoloured "Sonido" Shawl

This versatile shawl was made on a back-strap loom,  entirely by hand in Santiago El Pinar, Chiapas.

The striped design varies on every single piece, the reason for this being that weavers imprint their own personal feelings about the sounds in nature. Therefore each time, they come up with a new stripes design, making each piece unique.

This piece supports sustainability by improving the lives of the people involved in its production. Every artisan is provided with a fair wage and working conditions which is reflected on the price.

Technique: Zero-cut finish "Sot Benal" - Handmade using a back-strap loom.

Dimensions: 45 cm x 200 cm

Origin: Chiapas, Mexico.

Composition: 100% cotton 

Garment Care: Hand wash cold gently, or delicate machine wash*. *We recommend using a delicate garment bag. Do not bleach, do not wring, do not tumble dry. Hang to dry in the shade.
