Mauna Kea uses vintage machinery to knit their socks, with only a few of their kind left in Japan.  These special machines use 60 needles and prefer a thicker yarn to create a looser knit which in turn results in greater comfort. 

This mix of hemp and cotton has a nice thick, yet cool feel. It will help keep your feet fresh! Hemp is a natural fiber that requires very little water and pesticides, it is long lasting and friendly on your skin and the environment.
